■About Senryu Shuzo Founded in 1688, Senryu Shuzo is a historic sake brewery with more than three centuries of brewing tradition. Established under the patronage of the Hirado Domain, its sake was highly regarded as an offering to feudal lords and has been passed down alongside the region’s cultural heritage. The brewery grounds are home to several historically significant buildings, including the former Honjin residence, where domain lords once stayed during their sankin-kotai journeys, and the Moto-gura brewery, which preserves the appearance of the brewery’s early years. Surrounded by this rich history, Senryu Shuzo continues to craft sake using pure water and time-honored techniques, producing elegant and well-balanced flavors with remarkable depth and character.
